Rancho Monserate is comprised of 232 mobile/manufactured homes on 100 acres and was developed in the 1970s. Residents enjoy many amenities like the swimming pool, dining, card games, a library, pool tables, RV & boat storage, tennis courts, and other social activities. Each homeowner shares in amenities because they own the land.

Access to the 18-hole golf course is free and the community wells water the greens. This retirement community is located in the San Luis Rey River Valley Hills; it is south of Fallbrook, and east on Bonsall. There is a historic adobe chapel that is considered to be the “19th hole.”

This neighborhood is within minutes to restaurants, stores, and six golf courses. You’ll find lots of fishing in Oceanside only 16 miles away. The historic downtown Fallbrook district is also within minutes and offers art galleries, boutiques, golf, nature trails, casinos, and resorts. This is the social and cultural center for the city.

There are several shopping centers like the Colony Plaza Shopping Center and the River Village Plaza.

The City of Fallbrook is known as the “Avocado Capital of the World” because of its many avocado groves. Large crowds of visitors and locals attend the annual Avocado Festival downtown. Fallbrook is located east of the United States Marine Corps Camp Pendleton and was once the stop for a stage coach that traveled from Temecula to San Diego. This is also a popular place for the arts with the Fallbrook School of the arts which features public art, numerous galleries, and exhibits.
